Scholarships

We are excited to announce our outstanding 2025 Scholarship Winners: Prabdeep Bindra is a graduate of Sanger West High School attending Fresno State in the Fall pursuing a career in Aerospace Engineering. Nolan Castro is a graduate from Sanger West High School attending Fresno City College to major in Business and "kick" for the Rams! Xavion Torres is a graduate from University High School attending UC San Diego majoring in Marine Biology. Xavion is also a gifted musician.

The Sunnyside Property Owners Association (SPOA) supports educational achievement and presents college scholarships to Sunnyside seniors continuing their education. SPOA’s 2025 Scholarships are awarded to outstanding students for their contributions to Sunnyside. Applicants must have resided within the SPOA membership boundaries (Kings Canyon, Temperance, Jensen, and Peach Avenues) during their entire junior and senior years regardless of high school attended. The scholarships are available to entering college freshmen who have demonstrated academic excellence and have actively contributed a significant amount of community service or volunteer work.
